To all,

The new Form.Z website & Version 10 release looks very professional indeed including a hint of things to come with PowerCADD !
So, Kudos to AutoDesSys 😃👏 👍.

Is the 3D cube AutoDesSys new logo ?

With all this excitement ...🙃....I nearly forgot to ask if a new Form.Z 10 release video would be following along with the mystery Form.Z 10 Layout !

Thanks everyone for your positive feedback, we appreciate it!

Lots of exciting work going on behind the scenes, so stay tuned. :)

Great news! Will you be adding a specific list of the new enhancements for each version compared to the previous versions?

How does the new Cloud License manager work? For example, if we have 4 computers and 3 licenses, can any one of those 4 computers log on with whichever of the 3 licenses happens to be available at that moment, and if a 4th tries to connect will it something like say 'all licenses are currently being actively in use' and not connect, and someone will need to close FormZ before it is able to be used), so as long as not more than 3 are being used simultaneously, with the new Cloud License, it may be used by 4 computers and 4 different people, but not all at the same time? Seems fair because if 3 books are shared between 4 people, 4 could read except not simultaneously. Put another way: Does a particular license from a pool of licenses in an organisation need to be locked to one computer?

You got it.  You can set each computer to release a license on close and then it will need a internet connection to get a license every time it opens.  If you set all 4 computers up like this and are pulling from a pack of licenses, it should work just as you predicted.

Cloud License Manager

form•Z and all plugins are connected to a new cloud license manager. No mode license codes to enter and keep track of. The cloud license manager maintains all of your licenses for form•Z, RenderZone and V-Ray and are accessed through a single sign on.

When you launch form•Z for the first time, you will be prompted to sign into your account so that form•Z can access your product licenses. Once you have successfully signed in you will not need to do so again unless you clear your browser's cache or you do not use form•Z for a number of weeks.

By default your licenses are retained on your machine. This allows you to continue working even if you do not have an internet connection. If you wish to use your products on a different machine, just release the license from the old machine and sign in on the new machine. If you are in an environment that shares a pool of licenses, you can choose to release the license when you quit. The first time you quit form•Z you will be prompted to confirm your choice. You can change this setting from the "Licensing..." Item in the "Help" menu.

Thanks Justin. Providing it works and there are no internet connection fails, this is a big step in the right direction! We have 1 license of pro with Renderzone and 2 without so I wonder how that will 'pool'. To be honest, we don't use Renderzone very frequently as the shaded full is enough for our quick job-quote purposes as that saves so much time.

“Improvement” is putting it lightly, the new site looks amazing - like, scary good.
