dalestic
How can I export form z elevations to autocad?thanks
Tech
Hi Dalestic, Use the Layout App to create Layout Frames of the desired views at the desired scale, and then use the Export DWG command to export it to Autocad... Or in the modeling Project, you can just use Export DWG and export the whole model, and just view the elevations of this in Autocad.
AsOne
Is it possible to have Hidden Line or Shaded export at 1:1 scale? That would be very useful.
Tech
Asone, Yes, we will see if this option can be added via the Export Image: DWG command for the future, but for now you need to use the Layout mode to generate the Hidden Line image at a specific scale. etroxel
The other way to do it is to export image> DWG, open it in a CAD program, and scale the drawing after the fact. I do this all the time. +1 for 1:1 exports from the model.
Andy
+1 for 1:1 exports from the model. Andrea

dalestic
On the layout, how can i scale the drawing such dat it corresponds with my 3D model???
Tech
Hi Dalestic, When you draw the Layout Frame, you can set the Scale in the Frame Parameters.
palarsen
Layout is not ment for 1:1 exports, but rather scaled drawings for paper/pdf in scales like 1:100 or 1:20 000. Depending on paper size and true size of your model. Communicating in 1:1 with other 2D drawing programs you want a DWG image in 1:1 straight from the model
Tech
PAL, Yes, in general Layout is intended for scaled down views of a model, but you can use it to export 1:1. (You just need to choose a sheet large enough for that.) And yes, we are looking into adding an export scale directly from the modeling project when exporting images. For now you can either export the 3d model at scale, export image of the model and rescale it, or use Layout to export the image at a scale...
