¢hris £und
in 6.7 there used to be an checkbox to load the same texture into the transparency option. This does not seem to exist in 8.
Tech
If you switch to the RenderZone Material Type, the option is still there:
¢hris £und
Ah hah! that works. I'll look up the differences between the two... Shaded/Renderzone material types. Will there be other types in the future? BTW, it would be great if Decals could be shown in the Shaded Full display mode. Thanks!!!
Gary
Hello Support, Is there something that prohibits this from being implemented in 'Shaded render"? Thanks, Gary
Tech
Hi Gary, We will see if that can be added in the future...
Justin Montoya
I don't understand the purpose of the 'Shaded' material type for modern 3d design purposes. Can we not just have RenderZone as the default? As I was taught, it was meant for simpler materials on old and slow computers. Now you pretty much have to have a newer fast computer to run FormZ, so why keep the 'Shaded' option?
Tech
Different display modes can support different effects. For example, RenderZone supports Reflections, whereas Shaded modes do not. So if you use a RenderZone material in Shaded mode, it will be approximated as best it can, but it may not show all effects...
