pipo
I have 6.7 , 8.0 and 8.5 installed on yosemite. opening a file by click always defaults to a version 8 startup , presumed the latest version would always default. Any way to change this ? Using get info/open with/change all dialog does not fix it
melkhaldi
try: 1. Ctrl-click on the file 2. Click Get Info 3. Under Open With pick the app that you want to become the default 4. Click the Change All button 5. Confirm your decision from: http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/2573/os_x_how_to_change_default_application_to_open_file_type/

Tech
Hi Pipo, By default, the most recent application that has been Registered will open the .FMZ files by default when you double click on them. If you go to the formZ Help Menu: Register command and register once more, does that help? If that -- and the Open With: Change All is not working, then this is an issue with your operating system and you should request help from Apple. AsOne
Same problem here. v7, Free, 8.5 loaded. Defaults to Free ...However, I just fixed mine. Open With: Change All worked. Thanks!!! I'm on 10.9.
pipo
removed v8 and that obviously fixed the issue... didn't find any stability reason or bug to warrant keeping it except a possible custom tool bar issue I am noting in a separate post
AsOne
I take it back...didn't work actually.
Tech
Hi Paul, As noted above, this is an OS issue, especially if Change All is not working. Please check with Apple about that, and in the mean time, if you drag and drop your file onto the desired dock icon, it will then open in that version. Tech
We have searched and have not found a solution to this issue. If anyone else finds a solution, please post it here. Fortunately it does not affect that many computers, and hopefully Apple can get this fixed soon...
