Bo Atkinson
It's been years since i needed windows, but attempting to download the symbols zip file provides me with locked up zips which do not unlock. I'm using OSX 10.7.5 to download files and OSX 10.10.5 for formZ8.5.6 Any insights would be appreciated. ^__^
Bo Atkinson
PS- I did use Mac's Get Info/ unlock method, but there appears to be an additional lock needing unlocking.
Tech
Hi Bo, Can you please be more specific as to what you mean when you say it is "locked?" Also, can you give the link to the download that you are trying to use so we can test specifically with that? Please let us know so we can help. Bo Atkinson
I'm trying to unzip on my Macpro2012, with 10.10.5.... I get a message which says "Unable to expand......(Error 1- Operation Not Permitted)." Thanks
Tech
Get Info on the folder and make sure you have read + write permission for that. Run Disk Utility, choose your hard drive, and Repair Disk Permissions. If that doesn't solve it for you, please post the link to the file.
Bo Atkinson
I did all that and without success. Here is file. (When i downloaded, some days ago, there was an older file in downloads folder, with same name, so i added '2' after 'zip', in hopes it could finish the download... Perhaps i should have canceled the downloading process and instead deleted the old file, then once again, re- downloaded a fresh copy, in case the older copy was very old....) symbols.zip
vva
hi Bo, you should try "Stuffit Expander" - that works vva

Tech
Hi Bo, Thanks for posting the file. We have verified that this can give an error with the default OS X decompression, and we will look into what might cause this. Those symbols are very old. Did you find those on our current web site? If so, please give us a link to the download page so we can see where that is coming from.
Bo Atkinson
http://ftp.formz.com/downloads/libraries.html This is not urgent, as rarely would this be very important for me. I avoid installing extra computer things nowadays and focus on my own geometry, more intensively. If it was a quick drag and drop, then i might try it. Tech
Hi Bo, Ok, that's the download link, but can you please post a link to the page where you found that link?
Bo Atkinson
Sorry to say that my Firefox History is no help in this matter. I had previously noticed that this history is not complete. So i went to Google, searching "com/pub/formz/win/libraries/symbols".... All these search results seemed to be actual pdfs, on first 2 search results pages.... I would have expected some htm pages besides the pdf file.... No luck there. I wish the public had access to more powerful word searches.
