Why is Sub-D Swap tool "Sticky"

Curious as to why the Sub-D Swap tool keeps the object selected when you've swapped. Useful I guess if you want to keep toggling back and forth to compare the cage versus the subdivided object, but I found it a real nuisance when I had a whole series of objects that where subdivided that I wanted to make changes to. Just wanted to take the swap tool, click an object to swap it, move on to the next, click it, etc... But when you click the first object it remains selected, so you have to deselect it, then pick the Swap tool, click on the next object, deselect it, etc...etc...etc... I know I can prepick a bunch pf objects and swap them then work on them, then preselect and swap again, but I'm curious why the Sticky option for the tool is the default.

Yes, that does look a little funky.  Prepicked should stay picked, but post picked should not.  Right ADS?
