formZ 6.6.2 installation with dongle problem, need help

My office is using formZ version 6.6.2, it was installed in Power Mac now. The software is running with a dongle. As I know this version can be used in both Mac and PC workstation, am I correct?

 

I try to install formZ 6.6.2 64-bit in PC workstation which is running Windows 8.1 Pro. Firstly, I installed the USB dongle, and then formZ. However, formZ is not able to install. I have tried the installation several times, never worked.

 

Can you please help? Is there anything I need to concern during installatio

Have you disabled any virus protection before installing?

The PC is new installed Windows 8.1 Pro. It should be a clean workstation. Will there any build-in anti-virus software here?

Will there any installation tutorials of older formZ like version 6.6.2 in the official website?

 

Will the dongle need to upgrade?

FormZ 8 pro uses a registration number and not a dongle. Yip need to request it from fmz.

I am not using formZ 8, only using older version of 6.6.2 which need a dongle.

Hi Kimdo,

 

Yes, with the old versions that still use a hardware key, you need to install the Driver for the key first, and then plug in the key so it can properly be linked to its driver.

Thanks. I contacted the formZ dealer and she told me that the hardware key driver needed to be updated. After updated, the installation was succeeded.
