In the case of wireframe drawing, what is the most required function of the graphics card? Or is it that the function that requires the graphics card is the smoothest for the wireframe?

I want to buy a new graphics card. nvidia has 4 different types of graphics cards. 1. GeForec RTX40 series 2. Nvidia ada lovelac architecture 3. Nvidia ampere architecture 4. Nvidia turing architecture. Which one is more suitable for fomrZ software? Is it suitable to use type 1 RTX40 series?

Hello,

FormZ currently uses OpenGL for the wireframe display mode so any modern GPU will work.  The faster the OpenGL capabilities and higher the VRam, the better wireframe performance in FormZ.  You do not need a workstation graphics card.  A more affordable gaming GPU will be plenty.  Also works great for VRay GPU rendering.

I'm currently using a RTX 3090 24gb because I need the higher 24gb VRam for my more complex scenes in VRay.  Depending on your scenes, you may be able to get by with less.

If I were buying a GPU today it would be the RTX 4090.

Hope this helps.

Thank you very much, RTX4090 is too expensive, I plan to buy RTX4070TI
