dUbeni
Hello! I'm an architect and have been working with FormZ since 96/97, and currently using version 6.5 on Windows 7. I don't know if this is the right place to put this question, I need to replace my graphics card on my PC intel i5, I've been looking at a couple and I've no idea what's best for the present configuration? GTX750ti, 2gb ddr5 GTX750ti, 4gb ddr5 Quadro K620 Thanks Sincerely Bernardo
Tech
Hi Bernardo, Welcome to the forum! Those Radeon cards will be better for formZ than that little Quadro card. Please use this link to find a good card for formZ: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html The more VRam will allow you to use higher resolution maps, and generate images more quickly with complex geometry and / or larger window sizes than less VRam will. Does that help?

Justin Montoya
If you can swing it, a GTX 970 will be the best bang for your buck for quite a while until the new Nvidia Pascal GPUs come out...
Smarttec
This might be interesting to some old MacPRO users who want real graphics horsepower ie. Titan X These are some of the benchmarks obtained; https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qTU7j_pXQpdiRhj0cJz-3vDHBTBKJhlX7QKyaujjPYE/edit#gid=0 and you can check out more on: Yes you can now add a Nvidia GTX Titan X 12 GB flashed drive http://www.macvidcards.com/store/c10/Mac_Pro_4%2C1_and_5%2C1.html I have a client looking at adding 2 and should know how it goes later this week. It looks very interesting. R
Justin Montoya
At this point, it would be better to wait a couple months for the Pascal cards to come out. You will be able to get much better performance, at lower wattage. This is important for Mac Pro classic (MPc) tower users since we are limited on the wattage we can easily put to the GPU slots. Currently dual GTX 970s can be internally powered as the fastest option (Faster rendering than a single Titan X), but that will change when Pascal comes out in only a couple months. I'd wait if you can...
