etroxel
Is anyone else having the issue of exporting a 3d .fmz file as Export Image>DWG and everything going to the 0 layer? It happens to me no matter what version of fZ I try. 8.5.0.2, 8.0.2 & 7.3.4 all do this. If I export a 3d DWG layers keep their geometry. Tech
Hi Evan, The Export Image command is not layer sensitive, and it is expected that all lines would be on the same layer. (If you had two adjacent cubes on different layers and they share an edge, what layer should that shared layer end up on?)
etroxel
I would think there would be 2 edges in that case, one on each layer. So when you turn one layer off, you'd see the edge of the object on the layer that is on.
Hugo
yes, it happens al the time. If export, then you should always keep layers too, in 3D and in 2D image export DWG....
Tech
Ok, we will consider this for the future...
Gary
Hello Support, I to would rather deal with some lines that end up on the "wrong" layer, than give up all layer control. Gary
