AsOne
How do I set the texture map for an entire object to be the same all the way around? When I edit a texture I only know how to edit a single face at one time. For example I want to set this entire cube to have the same texture map parameters, but I only know how to do each face at a time...manually entering the data to match. FZnoob
Is this what you are trying to do? Here is a 10" cube with mapping set to "cubic" and "best match per face"
Tech
Hi Paul, We are not sure if we understand. If you draw a new cube, and edit the textures, is it not automatically sizing all faces for you? Or if you have manipulated another object where this is not happening, get the Map Texture Tool and as Noob suggests -- either choose Cubic or Best Match -- and click on the object -- then try Edit Textures... Does that help? (If not, please post your file.)
AsOne
Thanks Joe and Tech! Yes I had manipulated an object so each face was acting independent. Map Texture Tool fixed it. Perfect. FYI: a brand new cube works as expected - automatically sizing all faces. It seems I know so much about this software only to realize I seem to know nothing!
