Bo Atkinson
Please indicate what heading in the manual describes "animate transitions", which seems present under views palette dropdown. Clicking that does nothing noticeable, having looked at animation palettes. Web searching listed noting either:https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q="formz"+%2B+"animate+transitions"&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-
Justin Montoya
Bo, when enabled, Animate Transitions refers ONLY to the Views Palette. If you setup a few views and click between them to activate each view, FormZ will animate the transition between them instead of simply jumping from one view to another without any transition at all. This is like the way SketchUp handles transitions. It has nothing to do with FormZ Animations.
Bo Atkinson
Thanks Justin, are other terms associated which can be looked up because these term-searches found nothing, nor did it seem listed inside the online manual, or perhaps it was the wrong year of manuals. Neither link below seemed to demonstrate the functionality. "Animate Transitions" + SketchUp "Animate Transitions" + formz I tried check- marking and then clicked views in sequence. Nothing happened. No sure then of the meaning or the misinterpretation. I hoped to save up views as images to be rendered automatically, to make a sequenced set of images, or an animation. Long ago like decades perhaps, it seemed formZ could animate a set of views. Was that lost in version 3? Justin Montoya
Hi Bo, If you search directly in the FormZ Documentation, you may have an easier time finding what you want. FormZ is not well documented though, especially the newest version, so you may need to look back and ignore the older interface, as the functions are usually the same. http://www.formz.com/manuals/formz9/formZ_Pro/WebHelp/formzpro.htm#t=01001_contents.html You can definitely animate the Views by converting them to a linked path by using the Animate Entities tool. See old FormZ video before. Again, ignore the older interface and the tools still work the same today. Also note how when he clicks on the Views palette to activate a view, his screen Animates the transition between the views? That's what this option does in the View palette if you right click, as per your original question. Bo Atkinson
Ah, the "Animate Entities tool"... Good to know, if I can find a way to use it this time. Or if V-Ray works easier with version 10, it can wait. I'm more of a manual thinker and less of an AI manipulator.
