kim Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Whenever I reopen my file I get these layers appearing. I then select purge and they disappear. Curious, where they come from - are they linked to Layout mode? Thanks Kim
kim Posted January 12, 2015 Author Posted January 12, 2015 Sorry, I should have mentioned that the files that appear from nowhere are titled: 1/12/15 Layer 1 Reserved Here is a shot after purging
Tech Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Hi Kim, That's strange, can you please send the file that does this so we can take a look? Thanks in advance...
kim Posted January 13, 2015 Author Posted January 13, 2015 The file that I sent to show problems with the underlayment is the file that creates the fictitious layers. I will send the fml file that is linked to this file as the problem only started when I created the fml file.
Tech Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Hi Kim, Thanks for sending the file. We have verified the issue and will investigate further and get it corrected. For now if you just copy and paste your objects to a new project, that will fix it.
ThatMNTishman Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I've had similar problems with layers groups reappearing in a newly saved file. It seems to have to do with components that have been deleted in the file or ones where a layer was changed on a component and the layer name has since been deleted.
diedel Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Hi Kim, That's strange, can you please send the file that does this so we can take a look? Thanks in advance... That's not strange, that's just FormZ. Happens to me every now and then after fiddling around with components which were created on differently named layers than the one you paste on. After reopen the file you'll find those automatically created empty layers.
Tech Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Hi Diedel, We have been testing with this but have not reproduced the problem from scratch. We will continue testing this, but if you have any more specifics as to how you are "fiddling" please let us know so we can better direct our testing.
