cobrien
Hello, I think my graphics card has packed it in. What should I be looking for when searching for a new one, will a card advertised as suitable for gaming be suitable for FZ & V-Ray? Cheers. Smarttec
absolutely! - the best are the new nvidia RTX 3090 cards and will make nervy fly - only caveat is that if you have a Mac forget it! f700es
Smarttec
by the way "nervy" is V-Ray
santa
I agree with @Smarttec. When it comes to raw speed, the RTX 3090, or the RTX 3080ti, are near the top of the heap right now.....if you can afford them! However, bear in mind that you may get equal or even faster performance by using two (or more) cheaper cards, including previous generation GTX cards. Multiple Nvidia cards scale almost linearly, so experiment if you can before you splash the cash!
Smarttec
But remember RTX series (Turing) supports Realtime Ray tracing which is probably in the new V-Ray
