AsOne
I have seen V-Ray for 3DS Max and it has the ability to output render passes (reflections, shadows, alpha, AO, etc.) as separate files and/or layers in Photoshop. Is this possible in the FormZ plug-in? If so, how do I do it? If not, can we get this functionality added?
Justin Montoya
Yes, this is a feature of the VFB (Vray Frame Buffer Window). Here's a better explanation on how it works: https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/VRAYSKETCHUP/V-Ray+Frame+Buffer+%7C+VFB
AsOne
Thanks Justin. I tried it and got the render and alpha channel. That's it. Is there a way to get the following as distinct files: shadows, AO, transparent materials only, opaque materials only and reflections?
AsOne
found it - Render Elements in V-Ray settings palette.
