bbuxton
Can a legacy fmz format be added to the import/file dialogue? Or some way of openning older versions of formZ files without keeping a copy of version 6.7 around just to open old work?
Tech
Hi Brian, Yes, currently files older than v5.5 will need to be resaved in 6.7.3 or 7.3.4 before being opened in the current version (due to changes that Apple made that required us to make an adjustment for such files). We will see if these can be adjusted to open directly in formZ in the future. If you would prefer to use 7.3.4 instead of v6.7, and you don't have a v7 registration code, send us an email and we can make one for you.
bbuxton
Thank you for clarifying this. I still have 6.7.3 installed and have my registration code for 7.3.4. I work with pre v5.5 files a lot.Not just my own archives but from clients too. It would be nice to open older versions directly in the current FormZ. Is this just an issue for Mac OS? I am thinking about gradually moving everything over to a Windows machine, perhaps this is the push I need.
Tech
Hi Brian, This applies to very old files created on the MacOS, but it is the creation of the files (rather than the platform you are using to open the files) that is the issue.
