gigabeat
Hi, I don't know if this is the correct forum, I am new, and I want to use FormZ for 2D drawing (As formerly New Technical draw) , I don' interested to work in 3D mode, is it possible? what I need to use, FormZ Pro or FormZ Layout? I remember old versions of FormZ have the 2D Drawing mode, in formZ 8 there is not New > Draw technical draw. Thank you
Andrew West
Top right corner of your palette dock has 4 icons. The first is Modeling, the second is Form.z JR. the third is Drafting and the fourth is Rendering and Animation. Go to Drafting and then go to File- new layout. Tech
Hi Gigabeat, Welcome to the forum! Most likely you can get away with drawing everything in the main program (either formZ Jr or Pro). Just set your "extrusion" modifier to 2D so you are drawing flat on the reference plane, and work from a Top View. One reason to consider formZ Pro over Jr is that it includes the Layout mode, which may be useful to you, depending on your exact needs. Please let us know if you have any further questions, we would be glad to help.
