¢hris £und
Tech, Wondering if you would be willing to make a video or one of your tips regarding "User" attributes and how/why to use them? They only seem to be notes. not active attributes, such as the ones built in. Is there a way to make the active. Example: i can give an object a User Attribute with a field of type Volume. I can type what ever volume desired, but it has no effect on the object it is associated with. Can it be applied? Anybody use them? How, why and what for? too, is there a way to give it a more complicated attribute? Such as a custom #structure ? fz_xyz_td Thanks! ¢£

Tech
Hi Chris, It is primarily useful as part of the Information Management, as described here: http://forums.formz.com/index.php?/topic/659-formz-information-management-output-to-cutlistplus-for-woodworkers/?hl=cutlist
¢hris £und
Anything on the fZ side of things? That pretty much deals with all external portions of the effort. Never used BIM.
Tech
Hi Chris, It shows how you can generate cut lists from formZ data. The Attributes do not drive the geometry though -- but you can script something to do that if that's what you really need.
¢hris £und
I will certainly be looking into that. And hoping I can add my own data structures to it as well. Give D.K. a nudge for me
