¢hris £und
Tech, Just noticed something with 8.5 that it has a snap to grid that is = to the Numeric Accuracy of the project. 6.x does not have it. Is this intentional? Thanks!
Tech
Hi Neurascenic, We are having trouble to understanding your inquiry, could you be more specific?
¢hris £und
Steps to reproduce. in ( Project Settings... : Working Units : Numeric Acuracy ) Change your numeric accuracy to something stupid like 6" Now, in the project window, turn Snap to grid OFF.... you will then be snapping to a 6" grid any way. 6.x did not do this. Tech
Neurascenic, Yes this is performing as expected. The Project Numeric Accuracy is independent of the Grid/Grid Snap.
¢hris £und
I understand that it is independent; What I am wondering, is if it should be snapping to that Numeric accuracy? It does in 8.5 but it did NOT in 6.x
Tech
Yes this behavior is intentional. The snapping to Numeric Accuracy is to help prevent the creation of bad geometries. If the snapping is not desired then the Numeric Accuracy can be set to a much smaller number so the snapping is not as obvious or intrusive to the modeling process.
