DMclean
Attempting to Boolean Add the two top shapes gives me the bottom one. Objects are Facetted Solids and report no problems with Object Doctor. Triangulate Surface with Strict Planarity doesn't reveal any non planar surfaces. Tech
Hi Doug, Thanks for the file and report, we will get this corrected. As a workaround, you can do one of two things: you can round one of the corners with a very small radius before you union the two geometries, or you can create a circular hole in one of the geometries, union the objects, and then delete the hole. Does that help?
DMclean
I sliced the pieces along their axes, deleted the extraneous bits and then they all added together nicely. I've had this sort of thing happen before, and there is usually a fairly simple workaround. I've noticed that booleans just don't like some of my objects, especially if I've been creating them by punching holes in them.
