how to reset accidentally rotated components coordinate system?

apparently i accidentally rotated the coordinate system widget (not sure how it is called) when editing in scene a component. all derived components also have that twist. in the scene the component looks obviously right, but when opening it in a separate window for editing it is rotated in all three axes - which makes editing a bit difficult. is there a way to 'normalize' the component again? what i mean, compensate the coordinate system differences so that all axes are reset but the compopnent remains oriented in the scene as it is.

 

any tips would be welcome.

Hi Markus,

 

We are not sure if we understand, but if you click on your Component with the Edit Object Axis tool, and Reset it to the Plane Axes, does that do what you want?

 

If not, can you send us a simple file that shows the issue so we can help?
