jldaureil
I use a lot the extend tool... In Z673 I can extend a face to another one in ortho views simply by clicking two time on the segments (superposed) (picking faces on edges option checked in picked options) In Z8 I can't achieve this... It's can't select the face by clicking on superposed segments even with the ctrl key.. I have to change the view... What I've missed ? JL
Tech
Hi JL, If you select the 2 Click Face Pick option from the Edit Menu (and then click on the 2 edges of the same face), does that allow you to do what you want? If not, please send a very simple file that shows what you want to do so we can better understand and help.
jldaureil
HiYes, the 2 click Face Pick option is the departure pointBut I cannot select correctly a perpendicular to view face in this mode.Example a cube from a top view try to select a lateral face by clicking two time on the segments superposed visible from this top view.Is this clear? (not sure sending a file helps)In Z6 I can do this very easily. The advantage ?Using the extend tool without to have to change the view in numerous cases.JL
Tech
Hi JL, Ok, thanks for clarifying, we will see if this can be added. If you use a 3d view, you should not have to change the views at all, but we can see how this would be useful in top view too...
jldaureil
ZWeb Yes, there isn't any problems in 3D views only in orthographic views (top, right etc...) Thank you very much to consider these small things! Jean-Luc
