Tech
A few issues regarding Yosemite and formZ 8 have come to our attention, and we have a "pre-release" hot fix for these which can be applied until the full set of corrections is released with the next update. To apply this, you first need to have formZ version 8.0.1. If you still have 8.0.0, you can download 8.0.1 from the link below: http://www.formz.com/update Once you have version 8.0.1, Download and Unzip the attached file: libFZRT.dylib.zip Then open your formZ 8 Pro folder (or formZ Jr folder), and rename the existing libFZRT.dylib to libFZRT.dylib_old, and copy the new file into this same folder: Relaunch formZ, and the hot fix will be implemented. Please EMAIL us at support@formz.com if you have any issues with this update process, or if you have any other questions or comments. Enjoy! Tech
Hi Dennis, This primarily fixes stability issues that can occur on some computers, especially when clicking in certain areas in palettes in the Palette Dock.

dmuller
Out of interest, as a new user to Form Z Jr, will this update work with that application also as I was hoping to install the FZJR software onto my new iMac which is running Yosemite? Tech
Hi DMuller, Yes, this same libFZRT file can be used to patch either formZ Pro or formZ Jr. (It is not necessary for all computers, but if you are running Yosemite, you should probably apply that hot fix to prevent potential issues.) ThatMNTishman
How close are we to an official release that is Yosemite compatible? Any idea on when that might happen?
Tech
Hi Andrew, With this "hot fix" formZ 8 should be fully compatible with Yosemite. If you are having any specific issues, make sure to email details to support@formz.com so we can make sure they are addressed. We are also getting close to the next update that includes this "hot fix" and a number of other improvements. Watch for this in the next week or two.
