cobrien
Hello, Is it possible to show light effects like the image attached with v-ray? I recall doing it in RenderZone (glow maybe?) but I can't work out how to do it in V-ray FZ 10 V-Ray v3 or v6
Justin Montoya
Howdy, I've been able to get some of these effects but not all of them. You'll want to play around with the Environment Fog under the V-Ray Settings: However that will only create a more consistent type fog, not a smoke like your example: It's possible to create a Smoke material combined with a smoke Opacity map, but I'm not sure how to combine that with the Environment fog to do this yet. It might be as simple as a plane mapped with the smoke opacity material, but when I briefly tried it didn't seem to work well. Then again, adding the smoke effect may be easiest to achieve with post processing in Photoshop after rendering.
cobrien
It's the fog I was after so that's perfect. Thanks Justin.
