Spacer
Hi, what tool would help be model this spiral which diminishes in radius as it rises but lengthens vertically? I assume a two source sweep along a path, but how to make that path? thanks Peter
Tech
Hi Spacer, If you used the Wire Helix tool, set the appropriate Tool Options, and then Axial Sweep a circle with Scale enabled, does that produce what you want?
Spacer
Hi, thanks, i never noticedt that great tool. In th end I used the other helix tool to creat a helix plane. then I modelled a cone and used the line of intersection to creat the path, followe dby scaled sweep. this gives me the dimiution in radius I wanted as well (although it seems you have in in your SC, but i don't get the sam eresult with wire helix from axis , although i tried your settings...maybe your form appears only to have a smaller radius neat the top because the thickness if the sweep diminishes...?) Tech
Spacer, When we used the Axial Sweep on the helix we enabled the Scale option in the Tool Options to give the different starting and finishing radii.
