The Q
HI, As I exported this section of a model I'm working on, I get the message "One or more objects contain bad data…". I ran it through the object doctor, to no avail and I still can't figure out why this section is giving me grief. oval 2.fmz.zip Thanks, for your feedback. Tech
Hi Q, First, you are working on a very small object with the Data Scale set to "Building." We would recommend setting this to Small for such tasks via the File Menu: Project Settings: Then, STL exports only Triangulated, Facetted geometry. Normally you should just be able to export, and the data will be converted automatically, but if you have any problems, and the object checks out fine with the Object Doctor (which yours does), you can use the Polygon Mesh tool to convert to a Triangulated Facetted object. Since your object is very small, we choose a similarly very small Max Edge Length for these settings: (The above settings, or turning off the Max Edge and using the Angle Tolerance instead are generally the best two ways to convert Smooth to Facetted for STL Export.) Then you should be able to export to STL properly...
