DennisA Posted October 9, 2015 Share Posted October 9, 2015 Noticed if a .fmz project is tagged, then edited & saved the tag moves to the .fzb & is no longer on the .fmz project name. Is there any way to keep the tag on .fmz project upon all future revises & saves (may have to be done on your end? Other apps keep them of course they do not have a back up. ingoerik Posted October 9, 2015 Share Posted October 9, 2015 Well thats a very old behaviour from FormZ, afaik it was even with Fz6 working that way. But it would be nice to have that fixed. Tech Posted October 9, 2015 Share Posted October 9, 2015 Hi Dennis, This is expected behavior because we write the .FMZ file very carefully, so as not to disturb the original .FMZ file or the .FZB file until a temporary file is saved first. (If there would be a power outage during a save, then it could be possible to lose the file if we didn't save it this way.) Once the temp file is saved, the .FMZ file is renamed .FZB, and then the temp file is renamed .FMZ -- so it is a new file, and unfortunately custom "tags" would not be maintained...
