Animating a line on a map?

How can I animate a "growing" line – like a path moving over a flat surface map, following existing roads (like in Indiana Jones :-).

 

Using an open wire and line styles would be optimal, but any way if achieving this would be interesting.

Hi Anders,

 

Use the Bend Along Path to bend a cube along the desired path.  Set the Timeline to where you want the line to start moving, set a small value for the End %, click the "red dot" and choose Add Track.  

 

 

Then move the timeline, and increase the End % value (to 100% at the desired end of the animation of the line).
