virgox2 Posted June 19, 2018 Share Posted June 19, 2018 Looking at the Ocean Polyp tutorial: At 2:18, some tool / options are shown. I can't figure out what this tool is and how to get it in FZ 8.6. Perhaps there is an alternative tool with similar properties?? **I tried to use the SubD tool to subdivide the solid I created. Got a red circle with a line thru it. The T-sub tool you are looking at is very similar to the Turbo Smooth tool in 3DS Max which I use for this very reason. Take any object no matter how complex or simple and simply smooth the whole thing out and adjust without having to convert things to Nurbs or Subdivision objects. I knew it was old but that T-sub tool seems extremely powerful! What benefit was there to remove such an absolutely useful tool? And what has it been replaced with, that is more technologically advanced or equal in nature? I ask rhetorically.. because its likely that I missed the best days of FZ. Aside from that, the problem still remains: how do I go about creating the same thing the tutorial shows? I got up to the point where I had a non-smooth object. What tools can I use to smooth it?
