Bart Young Posted January 11, 2023 Share Posted January 11, 2023 Is there any tricks to modifying an imported STL file? Importing STL files from 3D printing sites. When I try to add things to them or delete areas formZ either freezes up or won't do it correctly. I've tried object doctor and mesh reduce without success. If it happens to others, we can eliminate the possibility that there is a configuration problem on your machine. One thing about STL files, they do tend to be triangulated. Bart Young Posted January 21, 2023 Author Share Posted January 21, 2023 Chris, I can't load those files as they aren't public. But the issue is like you say, tons of mesh triangles.
