Sections Problem FomZ 8.01

According to the Sections video I can reposition the section imediately after it is created. However I get the following message and cannot reposition the section plane.

"The Section Has Not Been Applied To The Slected Objects. Do You Want To Cut The Section?"

3DBack and Dynamic Section Plane are selected.

What am I doing wrong?

I think that I found the problem.

I had "Return To Pick Tool" selected.

The problem goes away when I deselect this option.

Hi Walter,

 

Yes, the Return to Pick option eliminates the option to use the Result Buffer.  In general, working with this option off, and just hitting the ` key (shortcut for Pick) when you need the pick tool will be much more capable and efficient.
