mastet
Hi! Can anyone give me some ideas on how to rework the attached file created in SketchUp? I've attached another file that is a sequence of photos of the object that I'm trying to model. What I'd like to accomplish is to modify the existing SketchUp model to be more accurate in its proportions to the original, and smooth out the facets so that they match the way they are in the original object. Is there some way to trace the existing SketchUp model with continuous lines that define the planes, then adjust the planes to correct them to be like the photos? Any help will be much appreciated! Thanks, mastet composite2-convert-magS.pdf
Rudy Daverveld
I'm getting a headache just looking at the design ;-) Curious though to other form Z users approach. Rudy Daverveld, Visual
Des
Maybe trace the edges of the shape using splines and loft to create the faces. Then stitch together to create a solid. Post the SU file, then we could see the geometry better.. Des
Des
Just one approach, I'm sure there are many.. This is a simpler object, but I think yours could be done this way. Des
