What I am trying to do is model a site in one FormZ file and model a building in another. I then would like to Xref (?) the building into the site model. so that any changes to the building are updated in the site plan. Oh, I am using FormZ V8. Tech Posted March 4, 2015 Share Posted March 4, 2015 Hi Seasdes, A Component is not "exactly" the same as an Xref, but it is pretty close since a Component is indeed a Reference to another formZ file. If you create this in an external (in additional to the Embedded) Library, then you can open that external .FMZ component file, modify it, and when you return to the project that references it, it will be updated automatically.
