Wal054
Hi all I have been having a long term problem where I am trying to determine the point at which 2 objects intersect. These objects could be planes, solids or a combination of these. I have attached a sample file. Can anyone provide me with some hints please. Wal054
I have developed a method (see below) to do what I want. Hopefully there is a simpler way.
Des
There are a few ways to do this with a few clicks. 1.Copy the top of the "chimney", paste, select it and use "Project Curve" and then select the roof surface. Make sure you're on the XY plane as it does it perpendicular.
Des
2. Use the "Surface Split" tool to split the roof surface where they intersect. If you want to keep the objects non-destructed then turn on "Ghost Operands" in the Edit Menu. 3. Use the "Extend" tool. Select the tool, select the bottom of the chimney, then the roof surface. 4. Des
4. Use the "Slice tool". Duplicate the top surface of the chimney, select the Slice tool, select the roof surface then the duplicated chimney surface. The roof is cut at the intersection. Again make sure you're on the XY plane.
