dalestic Posted September 11, 2015 Share Posted September 11, 2015 Hello everyone, am having difficulty scaling my cad drawing whenever i import to form z. the CAD drawing tend to appear way bigger than the grid lines and it doesn't match with the form z component. please i need help desperately. Tech Posted September 11, 2015 Share Posted September 11, 2015 Hi Dalestic, First, if the drawing is not coming in at the right scale, make sure that you have specified the right Units in the Import Dialog, as these need to be matched with what is being used in the DWG file. Next, go to the File Menu: Project Settings: Working Units -- and set an appropriate Data Scale. If you are working on a very large scene, you might choose the "City" size. Finally, to control the extents of the grid, get the Edit Reference Plane tool (at the bottom of the screen) and in the Tool Options, click the Extents of Scene button. Does that help?
