Tangent fillets between 2d shapes?

Hi all, and happy pre- new year!

Trying to figure out how to create accurate, tangent fillets between two or more 2D shapes...

In this image, for example, I've just hand-drawn in fillets at different radii to illustrate where I'd like to do this accurately:

Any help appreciated.

thanks

As an architect, I run into having to create tangents between 2D shapes seldom. However, when I do, I simply use fillet tool, set my object modifier to point, and click at the points at want to fillet. Of course, I need to keep in mind that radii must actually fit in between the shapes. Below is graphically how I would do fillets on a shape like yours. I unioned the desired shapes first and click on the points to fillet.

happy new year to all fZ users!

the only way I found out was this workaround: use 3D objects, create a sphere and a cube and use the tool "Round between Faces".

Than slice in the center of the sphere and than "Derive Face". the radii one both sides are equal !

If the circle is intersecting the rectangle, use a cube and a cylinder, union both and round the intersecting line. So you can have different radii !2129094354_Bildschirmfoto2022-01-02um23_56_59.png.c5adde6aa70862438e2489ad1cc1e66d.png

The other way is to use a 2D cad like QCAD and import to fZ.

Interesting. I assume this will work with straight extrusions as well. I'll have to try that...
