form•Z v9.0.1 - UI Typo Inaccuracies

Recommended Posts

I think it is the right place to point these thing out. I didn't notice up until now.

Minor as they are, they can be a little annoying but I'm sure the wrinkles will be ironed out once things have settled.

Thanks for your feedback. We will be working on this going forward. The newer Mac OS SDK we are using in v9 has had a number of subtile changes that we are still working through. There is a lot of behind the scenes tweaking to make things look good on all the languages, operating systems, and versions we support.

Can you detail why you would want to be able to reset the coordinates to 0? If we add this id would need to be a button or icon as check box UI element indicates a "state" not an "action".

My left hand is on the 3Dconnection Space Mouse, my right hand is on the «normal» Mouse.

It happens very often that I want to transform an object with the coordinate 0,0,0 (for example rotate or scale) or that I have to move an object from any location to 0 very quickly. To achieve this I have to take the hand off the mouse and reset the 3 values with pressing 2 x «Tab» and 3 x 0.

In version 6 it was a little bit easier: The 3 coordinates were not in 3 different fields, but there was only a text line separated by commas. If you wanted to define the absolute coordinate 0, it was enough to replace the whole line with a single 0.
