Rafe Ropek
Is there another way to get less jagged shadows in AO for shaded work? I keep tweaking all the settings but can't eliminate the rough anti aliasing. It seems as if this was much better a while back.
Tech
Hi Rafe, Shadows and AO are different -- and you mean Shaded Full, right? If you look in the Display Options, you have both Map Sizes set to Small. First, turn off AO or Shadows -- and see which is causing the problem. Then increase the Map Size for that one. Also, if this is caused by the Shadows, enabling the Soft Shadow option can help improve the shadow quality. Rafe Ropek
It seems that making the AO very large helps the anti aliasing, but this is a small object so I'm not quite sure what to do. Intuitively I would have all settings for small object.
Tech
Hi Rafe, Those settings are for the size of the map. (When the size of the map is too small, then then the resolution of the map "breaks down" and you can "see its pixels" showing as larger blocks.)
