using vray render interactive

Recommended Posts

It looks like formZ just crashes - are you using formZ 8.6.2 and latest Vray 3.6.1 - What Mac OSX version?

It looks like the render is well advanced before the crash - and how long has it taken to this stage?

Does it render OK in Progressive?

It's working fine here.

I suspect you are running into hardware limitations, and VRay and FormZ are just not letting you know in a very nice way.  :)   Can you please share your computer specs?  CPU, GPU, RAM?

If you uncheck Interactive, and only use the production renderer, what kind of results do you get?  I have found that there is little need to use the Interactive renderer because the Production renderer is so fast.   Go to Palettes>V-Ray Settings to turn off Interactive.

If you go to Palettes>V-Ray Messages, you should be able to see what V-Ray is doing while rendering and you can watch for error messages.

Please stay away from interactive render until they have it fixed.  I have had issues with it for months and it is not worth the trouble.  They will get it sorted out in time (hopefully).
