6.7.3 mesh surfaces-MESH OR NURBS BEST?

Recommended Posts

I am a very busy architect who has a side hobby creating parts for his custom motorcycle.

I do not do any mesh surfaces in architecture but would like to a 3D model of a steering part I need, save it in STL and get quotes on having it 3D printed in metal.

Which form of mesh surfacing is easiest to learn, edit, repair, cut voids in, etc........I see MESH and then NURBS...........seems like two different systems for shaping things?  What have been your pros and cons for the two?

THANK YOU :-)

Actually in newer versions of FZ you have 3 options. The 3rd is SubD objects.

Mesh is the oldest and to my opinion less recommended method.

You can use either NURBS or SubD depends on the shape you're modeling.
