cphfmz
Right after saving my file I get this error: "Smooth Modelling Error ... segmentation violation" When I click 'OK' it pops up again right away. Why and what is the error exactly? Nevertheless, I can't save my file and I will loose my data. I often experience Form Z's messages boxes popping up several times in a row with exact same message. Des
Was the file imported or did you build it? Have you tried copy and pasting into a new file? Des
Justin Montoya
This was fixed for me when I updated to the newest FormZ ... Build 10027... Make sure you download the complete App when you update to 8.6.0.2 ...
cphfmz
It was an imported (.3dm) file. I had to 'force quit' but the import worked after that, however, my work was lost. I can't seem to find any update - where do I get the latest if the "Check for updates" doesn't suggest anything? My current version says 8.6.0 / Build 10017. Thank you for your help. Tech
Some users did experience this problem running 8.6.0.1. We have posted a newer version with a fix for the issue. You can get the latest installers here: http://www.formz.com/products/formz/update/formz_86_Update.html.
cphfmz
Thanks a lot! Btw: I discovered that by holding the return button down enough time I can actually save my file and continue working. The proces bar apparently moves a little bit when clicking "ok".
Tech
cphfmz, We just want to confirm that you no longer experience this issue with 8.6.0.3, correct?
FZnoob
I am STILL getting the error. I downloaded the newest build yesterday
Tech
FZnoob, Can you confirm in the "About formZ" screen that the version reads "8.6.0.3" build 10053? If so then we are suspicious that a component did not install properly. Can you please delete the formZ 86 Pro application folder (/Applications/formZ 8/formZ 8.6 pro/) and re-install. FZnoob
Yes it is. I did a complete shut down and restart of the computer. For now it's ok. It was also crashing when I attempted to use the "move" tool. This was on an existing model that I had used many times before without issue.
