FZnoob 131 Posted August 4, 2017 Anyone here ever used FZ in conjunction with the rendering program "Keyshot"?
gordonjay 8 Posted August 4, 2017 We started using Keyshot last month. For the most part it works well with FormZ. I found exporting as an FBX with everything Faceted works best. You may need to tweak any materials that are procedural and transparent, but it is relatively easy to do. Getting good results is fairly easy. darwin06 1 Posted August 4, 2017 (edited) I love keyshot! Great, fast results on a Mac with ease but without the use of a high-end GPU (Mac problems). However I use it in a slightly more awkward way by exporting the FMZ to either DWG/OBJ/FBX and import into Rhino. I clean up the geometry in Rhino and then use the Keyshot plugin which allows me to make changes on the fly in Rhino and update my model in Keyshot without reimporting/erasing my current Keyshot settings. A Keyshot plug-in for formZ would be a welcomed addition. Edited August 4, 2017 by darwin06
Andrew West 350 Posted August 4, 2017 Anyone have a speed comparison Keyshot to Maxwell? I love the results of Maxwell but I am always handicapped with the speed issue. The other issue I have is that many of my clients send me architectural models that are built in either Revit or god forbid Sketchup. How stable is Keyshot with third party models built in those programs?
