DJAB
Guys, Can anyone talk me through render region feature. I have a render finished, straight from from z, using MXI file. Now, I want to change a material and thought I would use the render region tool, but I can't get it to work... I re start a new render and pic the region I want to render but it still does the whole image. what I am doing wrong... (I would like to avoid going into studio if possible) Andy
pylon
Hi Andy, In formZ, enable Display> Render Area Rectangle and adjust the region to suit. Then choose Display> Maxwell to render.
DJAB
Thanks, I will try this later, I assumed that it was done from inside of maxwell!
pylon
Yes, you can also alter the render region if you open a Maxwell Scene file (MXS) in Maxwell and re-render. (But not MXI, that's an image storage format.)
