Extensions - Use of Place tool with different MXS files

Using the Place tool at the bottom of the Modeling tools. Once I have used the Create tool to save a MXS file of an object. The I use the Place tool to insert an object, is there any way I can go back and select another MXS file of a different object to insert into the modeling environment. Or do I have to go make and make a new MXS fle of a new object before inserting.

 

For example, I make several MXS files of different trees (scale, size, type, etc.). Then I want to insert the different trees (MXS files) into the modeling environment. How do I select the different MXS files without creating a new MXS file each time.
