nadir
I have few Alpha material that works great when I render in Renderzone, all black area turns transparent, but when i render them in Maxwell 3.2.1.0 transparent sections look opaque. What setting am I missing?
pylon
Hi Nadir, Does the material appear correctly in Shaded Work / Shaded Full modes? If not, switch over the Shaded Transparency tab and map in the alpha bitmap. By default, Maxwell will pick up the settings used in "Shaded." (Renderzone and Maxwell are independent plugins and each is not aware of the other's settings.) Does this help?
nadir
I think I found where the problem is. I am new to Formz 8 and Maxwell at same time but till now all of my renderings were done in Formz7. When i open them in Z8 with few relinking it came out ok in RenderZone with few material adjustment I got Maxwell working also, except the Alpha materials. by deleting and reloading the same Alpha Channel Material in a new material " with out doing anything to it" working fine. thanks fro you respond nadir
pylon
Great, glad it is working for you now. Please read up on the Resource Manager, as it will eliminate the need for 'manual' re-linking of missing files in almost all cases: http://support.nextlimit.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=16810300
