daswood
I have taken a long (6year) formz break and getting back in the swing of things. I have been trying to map these images on just the face of the following objects what am I doing wrong? (That repeat on the edges is not a desired effect). Tech
Hi Daswood, Welcome to the forum! Unfortunately we are not sure if we understand your question. Can you please post a separate image of your image file, and another of your geometry so we can try to understand what you are trying to map where? Or any other information that will allow us to understand will help us get you an answer.
¢hris £und
Tech, Note that some elements are extruded, Das is getting the edges of the extrusion to have the map repeating on it at a much smaller scale. You can just make out a whole bunch of repeating Pandas in the first image.
Tech
Hi Chris, Ok, then there are a number of ways to approach that. Perhaps using this tip would be the easiest? http://www.formz.com/support/tips/tip65.html Does that help?
daswood
Tech is correct. The extruded object has a thickness of 3/4" and that repeat of the tiny pandas is driving me crazy. I try to select the edge to clear the map but I can't seem to make it go away
Tech
Daswood, You can color the entire object (s) a plain color if you want, and just color the "front faces" with a map that uses the image, or if you want the stripes to go through the sides of the extruded object, use the Flat Mapping as describe in the Tip we have linked above... Does that "make it go away?"
