jsiggia
This should include those created on faces of objects when in shaded work and shaded full. Thanks, Joe
DennisA
Lock Reference Plane & Grid will not appear on objects. If this is not locked it seems seems to appear even with show grid unchecked.
jsiggia
Yes, if you lock ref plane it just keeps it as the active plane, so any other surface cannot be used as a ref plane, but hiding a ref plane's grid is not possible when it is on an object. If a plane on a cube is locked as a ref plane, we should be able to hide it. Joe
Tech
Hi Joe, The Hide Reference Plane does not apply to the "automatic reference planes" that appear when your cursor is over a surface (as that could be quite confusing). However, if you use the Define Reference Plane tool to create a custom reference plane, you can then lock and hide that if you like.
jsiggia
z, I've used this work around, but I was hoping to hide these grids quickly with a shortcut without the extra steps. Thanks for reading, Joe
setz
Hiding the automatic ref planes would be useful while using Linear Dimension because the dimension is hard to read when superimposed over the grid.
jsiggia
If this reference plane is locked (something I always do when working on one) I can't see how this might be confusing. I see no difference to hiding a standard plane, the visual clues are the same. Thanks for reading, Respectfully , Joe
