FormZ courses on Lynda.com

Hey there!

I think it would be worthwhile for AutoDesSys to provide courses for FormZ online at Lynda.com.  Many other CAD, 3D Modeling, and Rendering software packages are available through Lynda.com for online courses.  This could help get FormZ more widely used and accepted.  Lynda.com has become extremely popular in the corporate sector for training employees.  I know of 3 different companies who all offer free unlimited Lynda.com courses to their employees.

Just a quick browse through Lynda.com today shows Rhino, V-Ray, 3ds MAX, SketchUP...  and many others.  It would be awesome if FormZ was in there as well.

Thoughts?

Hi Justin,

Thanks for the suggestion we will consider this for the future.

We currently do offer a lot of training classes directly from formZ.com:  http://www.formz.com/support/onlinetraining.html

Custom training is also available.  And of course the Help Menu: Tutorial Videos (at least the ones after the 4 Discover videos) are great for getting started.

But even more exposure would only be better, right?

And Evan Troxel (apologies for volunteering you Evan but I'm sure you don't mind!) could be the the right man for spearheading something from the user community seeing as he has a successful track record of doing this already (especially for stuff with an architectural focus).

Rather than going the Lynda/Digital Tutors route we can also encourage members of the community to create training for their specialist areas can and go the Gumroad route.

There's a chap from the Modo community that's providing training in a very fair manner. He provides his videos for free via YouTube, but you can access the assets from his videos for a small fee via Gumroad. He also offers a patronage option too (which works him as he works with a range of colleges). He only started the initiative 4 weeks ago but he's already building a nice steady following.
