display toolbar too short

Recommended Posts

I know I asked this in the old forum, but I cannot find it now.  The display toolbar at the top of FZ is too short to hold all the icons.  I know ther is a way to expand it but I have forgotten.  Can you give me a quick reminder?

thanks,

I can't seem to resize my toolbars, a couple of icons are cropped out.

Tried deleting folder: Users/[user]/appdata/roaming/autodessys/Formz 8.5

no change. Should I be looking somewhere else?

Hi Bart,

If the 8.5 folder is not found but an 8.0 folder is, that folder will be duplicated and updated so the previous preferences can be maintained.   That conversion is likely where the issue is coming from.

If you Quit formZ and rename or delete both folders (or just rename the whole autodessys folder), does that fix it for you?

Hmm, nope, I just got a new computer so there are no older copies of FormZ or other folders .

I tried renaming the whole Autodessys folder to "old autodessys" but I got the same result.

I am wondering if screen resolution could be an issue.

I am running two monitors with my main monitor at 2560 x 1440 with my text and icons set to 125%.

I'll reset that to 100% and see if it fixes the ptroblem.

Well it does seem to be related to the screen text scaling.

Attached is the dialog in windows 7.

when I set this back to 100%. My toolbars are no longer cropped.

So I guess I will have to live with tiny icons and text on my desktop.

I'd be curious to know what percentage of your user base has made the move to Windows 10 vs Windows 7.

Hi Bart,

From talking to users I would say that it is split pretty evenly between users with Windows 7, 8, or 10.

We tested these settings with Windows 7 and 10 and it is working properly here in both cases.  Here is what we see in Windows 10:

Is the issue only with this specific computer, or can you reproduce this somewhere else too?
