davidorth
Folks, If you edit a view in View Parameters it saves the changes under the original name. Is there a way to edit a view in Cone of Vision and do the same? As far as I see, if you edit a view interactively in Cone (change hither and yon for instance) you have to save it under a unique name. My work around has been (while in the desired view), delete it from the view palette, edit in Cone, then save under the original name. Thanks for any insight. davidorth
Same for any of the view tools up on the bar. I often like to tweak a view with these tools, and save it under my original view name. An option to copy over the original parameters using the same name would be nice. setz
David, what do you think of being able to edit a view while it is selected while Cone of Vision is active? For Example: Open cone of Vision, any selected view is unselected (which is the current behavior). Opt 1: Edit view and then save as desired, or exit CoV with the current viewport matching the edit. Opt 2: Select a view, that view is then in "Edit Mode"; edit and when another view is selected or CoV is closed, edits are saved for that view. Tech
Hi David, How about if we add an option to the View Palette: Context Menu for Update View. Then you can right click on the name of any view, choose that command, and it will then be resaved with the current view parameters. Would that do what you want?
